One of my favorite things about Kajabi is that they never stop developing new features. This makes customers like me VERY happy! They didn't stop at providing us the ability to host online courses and membership sites, have a Kajabi site, and do our email marketing.

Nope. Since I've been a customer (late 2016), they've added features like: Pipelines (now renamed Funnels), 1:1 Coaching, Podcast, new Page templates, along with new and better Course and Site Frameworks for an overall better and better Kajabi experience. Kajabi's email feature in that time has gone from a sort of barebones way to send out promotional emails to a full-fledged, top-of-the-line mailing service provider.

One of the best things about using Kajabi is that it's really flexible. With each of its features, there are lots of options to choose from that you can personalize to how YOU want things set up for your business. 

I've worked with other platforms and, believe me, flexibility isn't a given. Some platforms are kind of "my way or the highway" in many respects. So we're really lucky as Kajabi users to have the choices we do.

Kajabi Has 2 Ways to Set Up and Host a Membership Site

There are 2 basic ways to set up a membership site in Kajabi and it's a BIG decision. It will take more research that just this article, but I'll give you a brief look at both so you can start the decision-making process of how YOU will structure your membership site in Kajabi.

One sign of a successful Kajabi account is when you have the same customer sign up for and/or purchase more than one of your offerings. Normally, when they go to sign up for a second or subsequent time, Kajabi will prompt them to log in if it recognizes their email in your system.

 However, sometimes people either start off that second purchase using another one of their email addresses OR when Kajabi prompts them to sign in, they can't remember their login info so they purposely use a different email (even though they could've used the "forgot your password?" option). Hey, we get it. We've all been there, lol. 

The issue it causes for you, the Kajabi user, is that you want ALL of one person's data to be in one place - name, email, payment and purchase info, etc. So you may have the question:...

When you build a "product" - course, membership, etc. - in Kajabi, you may want to include audio files. Some examples might be:

• transcripts of course videos
• meditations
• audio course files
• coaching calls

How to Prevent Downloads of Audio Files

In Kajabi, all .mp3 files are downloadable if added in the download section, as in the instructions above and usually that's fine. Depending on the structure and price of your offering, customers/students will likely expect to be able to download the audio files they paid for. 

But there may be specific cases where you DON'T want to allow audio file downloads.

One example would be if you had a large number of audio files in a membership you sell, and you're afraid people would join for 1...

No matter what email marketing and product/service delivery system you're using, you should be doing periodic backups of your contacts.

In Kajabi, there are 3 places you can easily include your social media icons. I was unable to locate instructions in the help files so I'll outline the processes here.

Enabling Social Media Icons on a Website in Kajabi

1. Website, Homepage, Customize
2. On the bottom left, change to Index (since you'll be editing the Site Index or home page)
3. On the left, click Footer, Show Social Icons, and set up how you'd like them formatted
4. For each channel, enter your link. For example, in the box for Facebook, I entered https://www.facebook.com/diycoursebiz for it to show my DIY Course Biz Facebook Page.
5. Check the Open in New Window...
