When you decide you're ready to put your first online course out into the world, it's time for some research, right? You wonder what platforms are out there, how much they cost, what features they have, etc.

Do's and Don'ts to Get the Course Platform Information You Need
Granted, the article was written BY Kajabi so keep that in mind as you read it. Here are some other tips:
- DO read some "Teachable vs. Kajabi" reviews written by others so you get a broad view
- DO keep in mind that each author will have their own perspective and goals to make you choose the one that benefits them so ... ;)
- DON'T ask "which platform is better?" questions in Facebook Groups and expect to get accurate, unbiased answers (I'm in those groups and I see sooooo much bad info given out as 'fact')
- DO go to each platform's website and do the research for yourself - pricing, features, customer service, etc.
... and my biggest "DO" for you? DO a free trial of each one!
Take Advantage of Free Trials of Course Platforms
Sign up for the free trial for Kajabi, Teachable, and others, then get in there and play around! Set up a mock or real course, make a landing page, and send out a test email. Play with their design elements, use their chat feature, and see how you like it.
What I've found from answering literally HUNDREDS of questions in Facebook groups about course platforms is that the answer is different for everyone! What YOU need or prioritize is wholly different from what the next person values and needs.
So the only way to really know is to do some free trials and see for yourself. Then ask the companies directly if you have questions about features and how they'll work for YOU.
"But wait! You're sending people off to do free trials of companies OTHER THAN KAJABI? Seems silly, if you want them to join Kajabi!" Well, that's how confident I am that Kajabi is the best. You'll see when you do those other free trials. YOU'LL BE BOCK! (<said like The Terminator) ... hee hee ...

All that being said, I think Kajabi does an amazingly fair job of presenting the difference between their product and Teachable's, without resorting to the bashing or false info-sharing that some other companies engage in. (And their integrity as a company is one of the many reasons I chose them to run my own business. I choose NOT to support companies who lie or bash others; there are 2 who come to mind).
