[Kajabi Feature] Product Announcements

Say you make an update to your product - course, membership, or service - and you want to notify every member of that product.

You could send an email broadcast. The only issue there might be that if some people did NOT opt-in to your marketing email list when they obtained the product, they won't receive the product update broadcast. In this era of privacy, GDPR, etc., we do want to honor people's wishes around being marketed to.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pain but there IS a workaround (because Kajabi is smart and they think of everything!). Instead of sending an email broadcast, you can simply do a product announcement.

Here's the crucial part from those instructions:

If you want to send all members an email notifying them of this announcement make sure to click the checkbox next to "Send an email notification about this announcement to members of this product." Members will receive the Product Announcement notification email even if they are not subscribed to marketing emails.

For those who don't always read their emails ( ... ✋🏼), the product announcement will also be IN the product the next time they log in.

Now you can see the advantage of sometimes using a product announcement in Kajabi instead of doing an email broadcast, to communicate updates or changes to your service, course, or membership.
