[Kajabi How To] Put Social Media Icons on Your Site, Blog, and Pages

When visitors come to your Kajabi website or blog, sometimes they'll want to learn more about you or your company by checking out your social media channels.

In Kajabi, there are 3 places you can easily include your social media icons. I was unable to locate instructions in the help files so I'll outline the processes here.

Enabling Social Media Icons on a Website in Kajabi

1. Website, Homepage, Customize
2. On the bottom left, change to Index (since you'll be editing the Site Index or home page)
3. On the left, click Footer, Show Social Icons, and set up how you'd like them formatted
4. For each channel, enter your link. For example, in the box for Facebook, I entered https://www.facebook.com/diycoursebiz for it to show my DIY Course Biz Facebook Page.
5. Check the Open in New Window box (suggested, so it will open in a new tab and someone can easily get back to your site when done)
6. Save

When you refresh your website, the social icons will now show in your footer. Click them to make sure they work, and you're done!

Enabling Social Media Icons on a Blog in Kajabi

1. Website, Homepage, Customize
2. On the bottom left, change to Blog
3. On the left, click Blog Sidebar, Add Content, Social Links
4. For each channel, enter your link. For example, in the box for Facebook, I entered https://www.facebook.com/diycoursebiz for it to show my DIY Course Biz Facebook Page.
5. At the end of each URL, add "/"target="_blank" [without the quotation marks] (suggested, so it will open in a new tab and someone can easily get back to your site when done)
6. Save
7. If you want the social icons to be higher or lower in the sidebar, grab the little "hamburger" and drag them to position. (Save again).

When you refresh your website, the social icons will now show in your blog sidebar. Click them to make sure they work, and you're done!

Enabling Social Media Icons on a Page in Kajabi

1. Page Builder, create a new page or choose an existing one
2. Customize
3. On the left, click Footer, Show Footer
4. Show Social Icons, and set up how you'd like them formatted
5. For each channel, enter your link. For example, in the box for Facebook, I entered https://www.facebook.com/diycoursebiz for it to show my DIY Course Biz Facebook Page.
6. Check the Open in New Window box (suggested, so it will open in a new tab and someone can easily get back to your site when done)
7. Save

Pros and Cons: Social Media Icons On Your Site and Pages

Sometimes you might choose NOT to put your social media icons on your website, the theory being "the purpose of social media is to get people to my website, and they're already here! Why would I send them away?"

You may not want to include social media icons on your landing or sales pages because you want it to be ONLY about the thing you're selling, with just the options to "buy or leave."

But if you DO choose to include social media icons on your blog, website, and/or pages, you can see how easy it is to do in Kajabi.
